The school holidays are soon, and whether you’re looking for two weeks of vacation care, or a day here and there, Rocketeers has you covered!
Rocketeers is the vacation care arm of Camp Australia, so they have services dotted all around the nation, and they aren’t called ‘Rocketeers’ for nothing.
They specialise in out-of-this-world experiences for ages five to 12, with boredom banished to a far-flung galaxy!
Your kid will love the Rocketeers program, because it’s action-packed with fun.
There’s also the option of bringing a friend (hello playdate), and attending a Rocketeers session that’s not at their school (to really get that holiday feeling).
From where you stand, Rocketeers is also pretty rad!
You can drop your child off before work, then collect them once your day is done.
And there’s lots flexibility, so you can book single sessions or big chunks of vacay care, safe in the knowledge that your child will learn lots, while living their best life!
The educators (aka Crew) are truly invested in providing varied and very engaging experiences; and if you’re eligible for the Child Care Subsidy, each session won’t cost the Earth.
So, what are our top picks in the winter program?
Well, it’s hard to choose, with more than 200 experiences on offer, and something different happening at every service, but for starters, we’re super excited by these five options:
1. Ninja Showdown
This special event is hosted by Proactivity, which means inflatable obstacles courses and tons of fun for your active kid.
Every Ninja Showdown event will also feature real Ninja Competitors.
So, your kiddo will be super excited to build strength, confidence and resilience, with a fit ’n’ friendly celeb giving them different challenges.
2. Mini Golf Masters
The Rocketeers program includes projects that teach skills in a super fun way, and Mini Golf Masters is going to be great!
Your child will get to design, build and play their own mini golf course, and whether they score a hole-in-one or 32 over par, they’ll be happy to take home their decorated golf visor and golf ball.
3. Animal Encounters
This Experience Takeover (aka incursion) is totally wild, because your child will get to pat and hold a variety of Aussie reptiles, mammals, amphibians and invertebrates.
Animal Encounters definitely takes the petting zoo up a level, and although some of the critters look pretty serious, they’re all friendly and your child will learn lots of fun facts to test you on later!
4. Art Attack
Whether your primary schooler wants to create a masterpiece or make a mess, this Big Art Day is an awesome opportunity to test out different tools, textures and techniques.
Stamping, swirling and splattering is all possible, and your kid will need that Rocketeers art apron, because things are about to get crazy colourful!
5. Master Builders
Rocketeers holds different Base Camp Days, which are designed around a theme, and if your child is into creative construction, they’ll be looking forward to Master Builders.
This Base Camp Day is all about thinking big and building big, with supersized bricks and other beauties; and if your kid isn’t a master builder at the start of the session, they will be by the end!
