The Gold Coast is a fab place to raise a family, and if you have a baby, toddler or preschooler, it pays to know that Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure is about to open a great new centre!

They are currently putting the finishing touches on a beautifully bespoke service in GC’s Health and Knowledge Precinct, and if you’re looking for childcare, this new centre could be your place.

Here are five things to love about Sanctuary Health and Knowledge Precinct, before it even opens!

1.  It’s conveniently located.

Location matters when you’re doing the childcare commute, and this centre is super easy for working parents and little learners to access.

Sanctuary Health and Knowledge Precinct is located close to the G:link tram and other public transport, and is in walking distance of Gold Coast University Hospital, Griffith University, Gold Coast Private Hospital and the Smith Collective.

With the Smith Street arterial just a hop, skip and jump away, this centre will suit office commuters down to the ground, and you’ll appreciate its easy location at the tired end of the childcare day.

2.  The centre is designed with every child in mind.

Sanctuary Health and Knowledge Precinct hasn’t just popped up out of nowhere.

It’s actually been years in the making, and loads of different industry experts (from Economic Development Queensland, Griffith University and Harper’s Playground in the US) have worked together to create a world class centre that prioritises every child’s unique needs and abilities.

Approved Provider, Lauren Hall says, “This collaboration has helped us design a space that is not only beautiful, but functional too.

“The environment is inclusive and welcoming for all, and we have carefully crafted our indoor and outdoor spaces to cater to the diverse needs of all children in our care, with inclusions like built-in quiet zones, a sensory-friendly colour palette, and easy-to-manoeuvre spaces.”

3.  There’s lots of wide open green space.

Sanctuary collaborated with LMS Architects from the Ed Roberts Campus in Berkley, USA to design a centre with universal access, and this means children will be able to move smoothly between areas and get that ‘green space’ feeling, even when they’re inside.

The playground design gurus at Wearthy have been brought in to create an ahhh-mazing playground, and there are native plants, boulders, big trees and even bigger verandahs for little adventurers to explore.

4.  The childcare program promises to be interesting and enriching.

The Sanctuary Early Learning Adventure team believe that all children are capable and competent, and Lauren says, “This philosophy guides our curriculum in a way that enhances independence in life skills from a young age.”

At the new Southport service there will be endless opportunities for children to build self-worth and confidence in a safe and secure environment; and instead of just coming up with a schedule of activities, educators will wrap the curriculum around children’s ideas, thinking, perspective and interests.

Sanctuary Health and Knowledge Precinct has also partnered with Griffith University and Autism Queensland to give educators and families ongoing support and guidance, especially when it comes to early intervention for children with additional needs.

Lauren says, “Our goal is to support mainstream schooling outcomes, empower children with life skills, and foster an environment of acceptance and non-bias attitudes.”

5.  Everything is included.

Instead of having to shell out money for assorted extras, Sanctuary Health and Knowledge Precinct offers an all-in-one package, which means you’ll pay the daily fee (with your Child Care Subsidy deducted) and not a cent more!

Food, incursions, excursions and activities are all included, and Lauren says, “Children will enjoy a fresh and nutritious menu, prepared daily by our amazing on-site chefs and designed by our Paediatric Nutritionist.”

Excursions to libraries, out in the community and other places will come at no extra cost, and incursions like music, sport, yoga and dance will also be covered by the daily fee.

Lauren says, “We’ll also provide a hat, shirt and drink bottle to each child at enrolment, and nap time sheets are included too.”

If all of this sounds good to you, then Sanctuary Health and Knowledge Precinct is on track to open in mid-July 2024 and it’s definitely not too early to enquire and enrol!

You can easily contact Sanctuary Health and Knowledge Precinct via KindiCare, and when you organise a centre tour, you’ll get a really good sense of the time and care that’s gone into this sparkly new Gold Coast centre.

Enjoy!
