A Sweet Idea for Easter
Make the cutest little basket for your preschooler, just in time for Easter Sunday!
BY HEJIRA CONVERY, KINDICARE
Chocolate eggs are super pricey this year, and sugar crashes are never fun, so we’ve come up with a way to keep your child’s chocolate collection small!
Our Easter basket is quick and easy to make, using just one paper cup, and it’s specially designed for a little hand to hold.
You can keep the basket sweet and simple, like we did, or jazz it up with pom poms and sparkles; and either way, your preschooler will be egg-cited to fill it with mini chocs on Easter Sunday!

So, here's how you make KindiCare’s cute little Easter basket:
1. Get one large red paper cup

2. Cut off the top lip, so you have a straight edge

3. Cut one strip off the top, about 1.5cm wide

4. Cut a second strip off the top, the same width

5. Make 14 vertical cuts around the top of the cup

6. Fold down every second strip

7. Cut off the folded pieces and set aside

8. Tape the two top strips around the cup to make the basket look woven

9. Gather the pieces you set aside before and sticky tape them into one long strip

10. Attach the strip to the basket as a handle

11. Poke some soft felt into the basket, and get ready for a fun-sized egg hunt on Easter Sunday!
