No matter where you are on your parenting journey, the Raising Children Network is an amazing source of info and advice.
Their parenting website provides evidence-backed articles, videos and apps to help you navigate the ups, downs and “I don’t know what I’m doing!!!” parts of parenthood.
And when the Raising Children Network gets behind an event, you can trust it to be a good one!

So, we are excited to let you know about Parent Day, which is happening on 7 June 2025, with proud support from the Raising Children Network.
Parent Day is a new initiative that’s part of the International Congress on Evidence-based Parenting Support, and although this sounds highbrow, the Day has been designed for parents from all walks of life, including yours.
Parent Day will be streamed online, so you don’t have to go anywhere to attend, and whether you have a tiny tot or a teen, the program features some really interesting guest speaker presentations.

For starters, we’re looking forward to the ‘Bedtime Made Easier’ talk that Dr Fallon Cook is doing with her Infant Sleep Australia colleague, Dr Laura Conway.
Dr Cook has shared some great sleep tips for babies in this KindiCare article, and if your child is aged between two and 17, her Parent Day presentation will teach you evidence-based strategies to help your bigger kid sleep better.

That’s just one program highlight, though.
There are loads of interesting presentations to look into, covering things like online safety, friendships, resilience, neurodiversity, and the big one – parent guilt!
Parent Day also gives you a great chance to join skill-building and advocacy workshops, and connect directly with parenting experts, so there’s more to it than ‘just’ presentations.
There is a small cost of $22, but the price of admission is nothing compared to the priceless parenting tips and tools you’ll collect during the event.

To register for Parent Day, just follow the prompt here – and if you’re busy on 7 June 2025, then don’t worry.
Raising Children Director, Derek McCormack, explains that. “The day-long streamed event will be available for two weeks after Parent Day, meaning parents who have to get their toddler down for a nap or parents who have to head out and drive their children to a sporting match can catch up on the valuable advice at a time that suits them.”

And even if you’re not the sort of parent who usually registers for online events, you will get a lot out of Parent Day.
The program promises real answers for real parenting scenarios, and the knowledge you gain will be positive for yourself, your child, and your family, so there’s every reason to give this ground-breaking event a go!
