Fun prints are in fashion, and although you might not be quite ready for your statement co-ords, your little one is!

Babies look cute as can be in bold prints; and a quality swimsuit (with matching hat) will help to keep the sun off, while keeping them in your sight.

So, have a look at these beauties!

We’ve trawled through stacks of baby swimwear to find some especially fun designs, and our top picks all have a high neck line, long sleeves, short legs and UPF 50+ fabric to protect your little one’s lovely skin.

Fashion aside, great coverage is really important.

The Cancer Council recommends that you cover as much of your baby’s skin as possible to shield them from the sun, as well as taking other steps.

So, before you get sold on a swimsuit, read the Cancer Council’s sun protection recommendations for little people.

Then check out these eye-catching swimwear options for your beach baby.

1. Retro Australiana at Kip & Co

Kip&Co have partnered with Mambo to celebrate the golden olden days of Aussie summers with this Mambo World swimsuit

Your little one will be rocking big prawns, big thongs and big crocs (the reptile not the shoe!).

And although this swimsuit looks blue, it’s green too – because it’s made of recycled polyester, with that built-in UPF 50+ sun protection.

2. Fun fruit at H&M

This sun protection set is a feast for the eyes, with summery cherries, pineapples and watermelon wedges all served on a hot pink backdrop.

And instead of buying the swimsuit and cap separately, H&M has bundled both pieces together, to provide head-to-leg sun protection for a delicious price.

3. Neon fish at Cheeky Chickadee

This Neon Fish limited edition print was hand painted in watercolours (which makes sense for a fish design!), and it’s brilliant for your baby boy or girl.

It comes from the Cheeky Brights collection of hi-vis swimwear, and if you haven’t read The Rainbow Fish picture book yet, you’ll want to, after seeing your bubba darting around in this design!

4. Cool chameleons at Purebaby

Whether you choose the dark blue or fiesta orange print, this Chameleon rashie sunsuit is wild!

It’s crawling with critters (in a good way), and is made from recycled plastic bottles and other ocean landfill to leave a more enviro-friendly footprint.

This sunsuit also gets stacks of five-star reviews from parents, who love the quality of this quirky get-up.

5. French flair at Hux Baby

If you’re looking for a splash of colour – literally – then this Parisian Painter Pup swimsuit shortie is paw-fect.

It’s covered in puppies that look the part when it comes to art, thanks to their paintbrushes, palettes and cute berets; and this swimsuit definitely gets points for creativity.

6. Bird life at Halcyon Nights

Halcyon Nights has some super fun prints for little people, and their Flamin’ Galahs rash suit is a cracker!

It’s all aflutter with feathery friends, and unlike the seagulls down by the beach, these galahs won’t try to eat your baby’s first chip!

They’ll share in all your bub’s adventures, though; and the colourfast, pill-resistant fabric is designed to go the distance.

7. Flower power at Kip & Co

No stylish swimwear list is complete without some fabulous florals, and you can’t go past this Follow the Sun swimsuit!

With hand-drawn flowers, friendly bees and bumbling lady beetles, these bathers will have the beach buzzing.

So, enjoy – safe in the knowledge that these bathers are soft, stretchy and sun smart.

8. Beachy vibes at Wilson + Frenchy

Super bright is super fun, but if you want to dial things down a bit, then this Sun, Surf & Sea swimsuit is just the thing!

The simple words and pictures sit on a dreamy aquamarine-y backdrop.

And this happy-go-lucky swimsuit is made from recycled polyester which feels good and does good.

9. Bold stripes at Crywolf

This Deep Sea Stripe rash suit is great if you’re after an eye-catching outfit with a classic nautical bent, and your bubba will love how lightweight this suit feels.

The recycled yarn fabric stretches, breathes and dries fast, while still providing that all-important UPF 50+ sun protection.

And you’ll love the clever leg domes which make nappy changes a breeze!

Once you’ve dipped your toe into the baby swimwear pool, you’ll see that there are tons of different designs to choose from, and whether you go with one of the above or something different, here’s to a fun, happy and sun safe summer!
