After all, things are winding up at work, a Christmas break is on the cards, and there are lots of excellent employers in the early childhood education sector looking for new staff in the New Year.

You can read all about Found Worx’s bespoke recruitment offering here, and if you are considering a career leap in the 2024 leap year, here are four things to do, going forward.

First, think about the kind of role you’d love.
A job change isn’t something you do every second, so it’s good to think about the job features and opportunities that will make a new role fulfilling in the medium- to long-term.
You may be looking for a practical change, like a more convenient work commute; an emotional change, such as a more motivated team; a financial change, like a bigger salary or more generous suite of incentives; or you may be seeking new challenges by levelling up your career.
Whatever you are looking for, we want to help you, and we’re focused on making the transition into your next role as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.
Kim Keating and her Found Worx team have years of recruitment experience, along with a real passion for the early childhood education sector, and if you’re considering a new role, Kim encourages you to register with KindiCare Jobs and take advantage of the Found Worx recruitment process.
She says, “This is such an incredible opportunity. It’s like having your own private concierge service taking care of all the details, building your confidence, and getting you excited, while also giving you all the insider tips.
“At Found Worx, we have the experience, the connections, and the know-how to really make a difference in your job search possibilities, and we’re very happy to share all of this with you, as a KindiCare Jobs candidate.”

Next, work out your recruitment timeline.
It may be that you’re totally ready for a new role, in which case, you can launch into action and register with KindiCare Jobs today.
Once you do this, the Found Worx team will take a close look at your application and be in touch. They may call, text and/or email, so make sure you keep an eye out for their messages.
At this time, it’s also important to think about things like:
- The notice period you have to give with your current employer
- Whether an early, mid or late 2024 change will work best for you, and
- Whether you’re keen to leap to a new job that looks pretty good, or whether you’d prefer to wait for that dream role to come up.

Next, work on your resume.
Writing and perfecting a resume is tricky for most of us, because it’s an all-important process that we barely ever do!
This KindiCare article contains some great advice to help you draft your resume in the first place; and Kim and her team will help to further highlight your selling points after speaking with you and deep-diving into your skills, qualifications and experience.
Kim says, “When applying for any job, you need to think about the experience you’ve had that is most relevant. You’d be surprised how many people will put their early learning experience at the bottom of their resume, even when they are applying for a job in early learning!
“Also, try not to get overwhelmed. Everyone hates doing their resume, but it is important to think clearly about what you can offer as an employee, and take plenty of time and care with your resume.”
And if you are struggling to put a great resume together, don’t despair!
Kim says, “At Found Worx, we are all about making you shine, so please don’t let a ‘no good’ resume, or even no resume, stop you from registering on KindiCare Jobs.
“If you have an early childhood education qualification, even if you don’t have much work experience with kids, then we absolutely want to hear from you! We even have an easy-to-complete resume template that we can send you, if needed.”

Then, make the leap and start looking for roles!
There’s no doubt that the New Year is a great catalyst for career change, and if you’re ready to search for jobs and secure a new role in early learning, all you need to do is register with KindiCare Jobs and wait for the Found Worx team to get in touch.
As we mentioned above, there’s no cost to you as a candidate, and the fantastic thing about Found Worx is that we actively seek out employment opportunities for you, rather than waiting for a job to come up, or for an employer to process your application.
Kim says, “We are passionate about getting you into the right job and we love nothing more than supporting our candidates by getting them job-ready, helping to open doors, and making great moves to further each person’s early childhood education career.”
All in all, we’re here to help.
If you’re considering a career leap, either now or in the New Year, now’s the perfect time to register with KindiCare Jobs and jump-start your recruitment journey.
