Parent Reviews
This centre has been investigated for abusing children with the owner, Trisha, refusing to share CCTV with parents of victimised children. Attempting to cover it up, and keeping it quiet from parents, the owners hiding like pathetic cowards.
Another example of money hungry grubs ruining a wholesome centre that is now completely gone. It's not a coincidence that this soulless corporation takes over and within 2 years the centre has no children attending and has to close. Look at the reviews and then look at the owners pathetic attempt to discredit their own clients and their concerns.
After it was acquired, the pets were first to go and not long after it was the staff. 5 centre managers in roughly 1 year, let that sink in. Long term staff pushed out the door by mistreatment from the owners. Staff that had strong, beautiful relationships with the children replaced for random day-shift workers unable to form connections with the children or parents. Toxic work environments, refusing staff medical days, threatening to fire or be replaced.
Can't forget the trumpian behaviour. They fired the long term chef who cooked fresh meals daily and involved the children in the process to replace her with pre made factory cooked meals, to save money of course. When parents learnt they had been deceived and lied to, they took to the communal app to express their frustrations, at which point the owners decided to turn off comments, remove the angry voices of parents and share their corporate complaints policy. A pathetic, weak, cowardly act that reflects to the lack of morals and integrity of Trisha.
It is not a coincidence the take over, treat it like a production line designed to make them rich, and the centre folds. It's not a coincidence they take over and staff and children leave. It's not a coincidence they treated parents and children like a commodity and everyone left. This is the direct result from their actions.
This is not directed towards the current centre manager or staff, who took genuine steps to restore the centres credibility. This is to make families aware of how First Steps Learning Academy treat centres. Bulldozing their way from centre to centre leaving nothing but upset families and profit in their wake. Do your own research on the owners, there is no shortage of articles detailing the true nature of them and what they stand for.
My child started here just before he was 6 months old. I found that he learned so much so quickly at this centre and the educators continued to encourage him to learn more. He LOVED LOVED LOVED his educators, I had no issues at drop off and he was always smiling in photos. Miss Rupali, Miss Reetu & Miss Tran worked closely with my child and I will never forget the care and love he felt at that centre. I always knew they took great care of him.
It’s a perfect natural school with a beautiful tree and bike track for the children, lovely sandpit and a real homey vibe. The teachers have given our son so much confidence in himself. They implement change when necessary. They care about growth and work closely with you and your child/children to achieve goals. I’m so glad we can provide our son an awesome, safe and loving place to be and that’s a huge thanks to FIRST STEPS.
First Steps Learning Academy centre was recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed, I noticed the food is fresh and good with a multicultural menu also seasonal fruits are provided, and the time children spend in the centre is not just to pass time they are learning and the proof is evident, the staff and inviting and keep us up-to-date with our child's needs, I highly recommend this centre , they have served us well.
After management changed all the previous staff, this is the second time there has been a mass staff change. after that all that, the staff keeps on changing it’s so difficult to trust this. As we leave our child with them and they even don’t know all the needs of my child. This is not really good, it goes to show how toxic the place is.
The staff are friendly, warm and understanding. Always wanting and willingly meet child needs. Fresh fruits and veggies served daily.
This is one of the best child care service in the area. We are happy with the care and service provided
If anyone is thinking about sending their child here… please look at the photo I have added. This is my son’s lunch! Didn’t even remove the plastic off a microwave meal. My expectations are for freshly cooked meals. Photo courtesy of FSLA during lunch time
Just lovely place, really nice for children! Lovely place! My daughter loves it and makes me feel good!
