Parent Reviews
The new Kinder teachers have been amazing! So many fun activities set up everyday, and the room always looks engaging. The kid learn about new topics everyday ie. plants, bees, animals, maths and the ABC. They have organised special events and are even teaching the kids Portuguese! Well done Miss Emma and Miss Gio!
They make learning fun.
High recommendation for South Brisbane Edge. We went overseas for work taking our children who loved the Center. We are now back with a baby and toddler - and they also love it - the team and Center are even better than they were! Loving it! Thanks guys!
My son goes to the edge in south Brisbane , and he loves it there, everyday he goes he has a big smile and gets excited. All the staff and children are amazing and the staff makes us feel welcome and enjoys a conversation.
EDIT : unfortunately our raving review must be updated. . . Due to a dramatic change in staff and staff turnovers, our son went from feeling safe and secure with incredible educators to not knowing who was going to be his educator or which room he was going to be in on a daily basis to, ultimately being kicked out of this centre with no explanation or comment whatsoever. We are only now, on the otherside of this TWO year's later. And I hope my story finds more parents with similar stories so they know they are not alone.
In 2022, when the Centre Director unfortunately changed (the previous one was AMAZING), there was a dramatic change in quality of care for our child.
We were advised that our child's behaviour was becoming problematic in the class so I immediately saught for follow up and a meeting to discuss areas of concern, as well as ways moving forward. This included looking into behaviour management plans with the Centre Director and educators. Not only was this meeting never confirmed after numerous emails from myself to arrange one, but my child started showing signs of stress and anxiety due to "the teacher yelling at [me] and saying [I] was a bad boy."
This made me want to press further for a follow up with the staff to discuss what was happening in the room as this change in narrative from "your child is amazing and an incredibly caring little boy who always is looking out for his fellow class mates" to, " he is making other children feel unsafe".
Again, after numerous emails trying to understand what was going on, I received a phone call from the Director of the centre to say my child was no longer enrolled there and after trying to question HOW this could be so, I received no reply.
I later found out that other parents were given similar treatment from this place and are now trying to heal and recover from the trauma experienced.
I do hope for the sake of other families, there is better care being given here.
I am so sad we were never able to find an explanation or answer regarding this Director's actions toward our family but it has definitely scarred us and any future experience with early education.
Our three year old son was at Edge South Brisbane for two months while we were on sabbatical. All of the logistics were smooth, and he formed a bond with the teachers very fast. In the pictures on the app, we could see a level of joy he was having while he was there that we never saw at his normal daycare--he clearly loved it and was so engaged with all the neat activities. The staff also cared for him individually in a way that we hadn't seen before, despite it being a larger facility. He seemed to grow as a person while he was there, and we loved interacting with the staff at pickup and drop-off. Thanks Edge South Brisbane--we were sorry we weren't in Brisbane longer!
My son Sambhav enjoyed and learned a lot even he is here only one term. Staff are very friendly!!
I am pleased with the quality of education and care that my daughter has received at Edge Learning Centre. She has been attending for over 6 months now, and I have seen growth overall development.
The educators at Edge Learning Centre are loving and caring. They have created a nurturing environment where my daughter feels safe and supported. My daughter absolutely loves her educators and looks forward to going to the centre every day.
Our daughter absolutely loves the center—it's such a fantastic environment, with plenty of outdoor space for the kids to explore. We're so grateful to all the incredible educators for making it such a wonderful place. Thank you!
