Great playgroup. We attended every Thursday and my daughter has the best time. Rebecca and Heidi arrange different activities each week. Appropriate for babies and toddlers. Also a really nice way to connect with other parents.

The playgroup on Thursday is the highlight of our week. Heidi and Rebecca create the best environment for all ages to explore, learn and socialise. My 2 year old has grown so much confidence since we started and I now feel she has the skills to cope and thrive in childcare next year. The playgroup is such a great community and I feel lucky to be apart of it.

Fantastic kids playgroup - loads of tactile experiences for the little ones, and a lovely team
My son and I have been attending the babytime playgroup at the infants home since he was 8 weeks old and we love it! It’s a great place to connect with other mums and bubs and get out of the house. The staff are wonderful and always make us feel welcome and it’s great to be able to talk to the health nurse as well. It’s a fantastic initiative and I’m glad it’s available to us for free. The relaxed and inviting atmosphere mean it’s always worth going even if we can only make for a short time. There are a range of stimulating toys and songs for my baby and we always have a good time.

Not what they make themselves out to be Do you know what the infants home was before it was a child care service ? They were supposed to help keep young parents and babies together . No counselling for another stolen Generation

Our child is currently attending this service. TIH is by far the most expensive centre in the area and I struggle to understand why. When we initially enrolled, we were under the impression that the high fees meant that families who needed extra financial support would be subsidised. But this is not happening - we know of families who have been denied financial support and have had to go elsewhere. The children at this service are definitely not disadvantaged or in need. The high fees mean only the most privileged families can afford to attend. The additional allied health services are not substantially different to what is available through child and family health for free anyway. That being said, some of the educators have been fantastic. But it seems like they are not well supported to provide the child-centred service we expected. Their policies are extremely inflexible so if your child has any special needs they are unlikely to be able to support. The additional layers of management mean that the policy development is done by people who are not connected to the children and families day to day - they prioritise the business as opposed to their families. I really struggle to understand how they have achieved the quality rating they have - perhaps because they have staff dedicated to paperwork - which most other services can’t afford. It’s a real shame to see this once great organisation struggle to provide the service they advertise and promote due to too many layers of management and non teaching staff.

educators are very nice and kind to my son. He is happy to stay there whole day.

We sent our child there based on the high google reviews and because it was close to home. We also went for a proper tour and things seemed fine until they started to attend there. Was highly disappointed, many times children would come home with clothing missing, carers are usually chit chatting on the side whilst my child was being hit by another child, their service is also more expensive than other places with less inclusions e.g. nappies and wipes need to be provided by the parent and on many occasions after water play my child was left with wet clothing unchanged even though I provided clothes in their daycare bag. Just keep in mind parents that you only know until your child starts attending a service don't take it from face value. Not saying all the carers are bad, but unfortunately there are alot of areas for improvement of the centre.
My son had the best care possible at the Infants' Home. The educators and the grounds are fantastic and you won't find another daycare better than this! The kids have so much space, resources and care, there's really nothing the centre doesn't do for them
